One Dublin restaurant will turn your bottle of water into wine (for free)

It’s a Christmas miracle

Cassie Delaney

You know what they say; it’s the most wonderful and expensive time of the year.

Yes, try as you might to ignore it, Christmas is just around the corner. With the festive season comes multiple nights out, Christmas parties, catch-ups with family and inevitably, a rapidly decreasing bank balance. So when an offer like this comes along, you should grab it with two hands.

A Dublin restaurant is offering customers the miraculous opportunity to turn a bottle of water into a bottle of wine.

The Christmas offer is available at The Exchequer Wine Bar in Ranelagh. It’s applicable with the order of a main course, for congregations of four or more, 7 days a week from 5pm to 7pm (an easy feat when you’ve two dozen people to meet offer the holidays).

The bar itself is a great place to head to if you want to impress wine-loving friends. Their Head Sommelier, Anne Marie Duignan, has introduced some distinguished new wines to their repertoire especially for the Christmas season. Really impress your crew by ordering a 2012 De Morgenzon DMZ Syrah, Stellenbosch, an award-winning, medium to full-bodied wine with aromas of red berries, ripe plum, and a little white pepper.

We will see you there.
