Have you seen this bizarre picture floating around online?
Well, it’s there and Twitter users seem unable to handle it.
While we’re well used to certain fruits being peeled, we have to admit it’s a little weird seeing a lime being treated like it’s close counterpart, the orange.
It’s the middle of the night but I cannot stop thinking about peeled limes and how evil and cursed the entire concept of peeling a lime is pic.twitter.com/W2OOV8kGZ4

However, we didn’t have quite the reaction that many people have had.
Yes, the visuals of a lime without its skin has well and truly sent some folks on Twitter into a tailspin, leaving the rest of us a little confused.

Why have I never, in my entire life, seen a peeled lime until today I’m flabbergasted https://t.co/atifR8HAgQ

Psa: I did not peel these. These are images I found off of google. I would never commit such a crime against humanity

The images have even encouraged others to start peeling traditionally non-peeled fruits like grapefruit, grapes and pineapple.
