Chocolate cover raisins have been recalled after peanuts have been found inside.

SuperValu and Centra who sell the products are warning customers to bring back the product to stores after chocolate cover peanuts were found inside instead of raisins.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said on its website: “Chocolate covered peanuts were found in a tub of product labelled as Chocolate Covered Raisins.

“This may make the above products unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of peanuts. As a precaution, SuperValu and Centra are recalling all current batches of the implicated raisin products, together with their products labelled as Chocolate Covered Peanuts in 325g tubs.”

The product identifications are:

  • SuperValu Chocolate Covered Raisins; pack size: 385g tub; all batches.
  • Inspired by Centra Chocolate Covered Raisins; pack size: 385g tub; all batches.

If you bought the product recently, return to the store as soon as possible.
