Quality Street ditch one popular flavour and we’re not happy about it

popular flavour

A relatively new but popular flavour.

According to reports, Quality Street has ditched the Honeycomb Crunch flavour this year and we can’t say we’re too happy about it.

Honeycomb Crunch was introduced in 2016, replacing the Toffee Deluxe but needless to say, fans were raging and as a result, the toffee sweet came back in 2017.

For last year’s festive season you could get both sweets in your annual Quality Street tin but this year it’s back to 12 sweets as Honeycomb is apparently out.

You can still buy it as a single chocolate bar (tell us where people) but you won’t get it in sweet form.

Not ideal if you’re a honeycomb fan…we would consider it one of the tastier flavours, to be honest.

A spokesperson told The Sun:

“The Quality Street assortment has never been static.

“The Honeycomb crunch was a new sweet added to celebrate our 80th birthday celebrations back in 2016.

“It’s still available as part of a single chocolate bar for this year but won’t appear in tubs and tins”.

It hasn’t yet been confirmed that these changes will extend to Ireland as well as the UK but we’re guessing this is something that will be implemented across the board.

We’re still not over the fact that Celebrations did away with the Galaxy Truffle so this is all too much of a wet, windy, dreary Thursday.

Time for a chocolate run to ease the pain…
