Quality Street have removed one of their most popular sweets and fans are raging

Nooooooooo.

Quality Street

It’s not the first time it has been removed.

Quality Street is reportedly making a big change to its boxes – and removing the Toffee Deluxe sweet.

Yes, really: the beloved brown wrapper sweet is no more (well, at least for now).

The Sun report that the confectionary company are going to replace it with the Chocolate Caramel Brownie.

The Toffee Deluxe was one of the original flavours when Quality Street was first released in 1936, and has been in-and-out of the line-up ever since.

Most notably, it was taken out back in 2016 – and due to a massive fan reaction, brought back a year later.

However, it looks like it’s back out again as the new brownie sweet is introduced into the lineup.

Quality Street

According to the publication, the newest Quality Street addition has a milk chocolate casing with a chocolate-flavour caramel in the middle – and it’s “limited edition”, so it won’t be around for forever.

Or, even, that the Toffee Deluxe may be making a return to Quality Street boxes.

A spokesperson said:

“Well, we know we got your attention the last time we dropped the Toffee Deluxe so couldn’t resist trying it again.

“But seriously, everybody’s got a favourite Quality Street and the assortment has changed a lot over the years.

“Every now and then we like to introduce new exciting flavours to the mix and are certain that our delicious chocolate caramel brownie will be a hit for 2019.”

Fans took to Twitter after the news broke – and it’s safe to say they weren’t a bit happy.

The new assortment is already available in some places in the UK, and we imagine Ireland won’t be too far behind.
