Quorn introduce premade sandwiches and wraps in the UK

Jade Hayden

No meat? No problem.

Quorn have been around for a good while now.

Way back when it was difficult enough to be a non-meat eater, the brand were leading the charge when it came to substitute burgers, sausages, and slices of ham.

They’ve always been a decent enough shout when it comes to frozen foods and ready meals – and now they’re stepping their game up and introducing a new range of lunch-y bits to ensure you can avoid meat on the go too.

How nice of them.

The new range of four sandwiches and two wraps launched last month in the UK, and included a vegetarian chicken and stuffing sandwich and a vegetarian chicken Caesar wrap.

Honestly like, imagine.

The range is unfortunately not available here in Ireland at the moment, but word on the street is that it will hopefully land over our way very, very soon.

“The meat free category is currently largely centred around planning meals at home, but our research has shown there’s a big demand for more meat substitutes and vegetarian options in the On The Go channel,” said Andy Smith, Quorn’s director of business development.

“Our research shows 73 percent of our consumers are not vegetarian, demonstrating an increase in flexitarian diets and people looking to reduce the amount of meat they consume.

“This new collection will make buying a tasty meat-free option when on the move more accessible than before.”

The full range includes:

  • Vegetarian chicken and stuffing sandwich
  • Vegetarian chicken salad sandwich
  • Vegetarian Ploughman’s sandwich
  • Vegetarian ham salad sandwich
  • Sweet chilli wrap
  • Caesar wrap

The sandwiches and wraps are unfortunately not vegan though, so those of us who do our best to avoid dairy are going to have to sit this one out.

Still though, always good to have some more veggie options floating about.

Send ’em our way soon, guys.

Please.
