Quorn has issued a recall for one of their ready-meal products due to the presence of rubber pieces.

15,000 packs of the tikka masala with basmati rice product are being recalled and customers are advised not to consume packs with a use-by-date of March 1, 2, or 3, 2018.

Some customers reported finding small flexible rubber pieces in tikka masala ready-meals that had a use-by-date of March 1.

Quorn has released a statement:

“On Monday 12th February, 2018, Quorn Foods initiated the recall of 15,660 packs of Quorn Chilled Tikka Masala with Basmati Rice ready-meal 400g.

“The recall is being initiated because a small number of consumers have reported finding a small piece of flexible rubber in the Masala sauce of their product, all with the use-by-date of 01 March, 2018.”

Customers who return the affected product to the retailer they purchased it from are entitled to a full refund.

The barcode of the products in question is 5019503024203.

No other Quorn products are affected by this recall.
