Ew, this is well and truly noted for the next time we buy some chicken.

Listen, when we do a food shop, and try to unpack it all, it’s safe to say that we just shove anything in anywhere that will fit.

Nutrition expert, Many Sacher said: “When unpacking groceries after a shopping trip, many of us tend to rush and put everything into the fridge where it will fit.

“When it comes to high-risk foods like chicken however, it’s best to store these on the bottom shelf, to reduce cross-contamination from the juices dripping onto other foods.

So basically, you’re better off storing your chicken at the very bottom of the fridge, so no raw juices attaches to the rest of your food.
