Starbucks has made a major change to their Christmas drinks menu

Fab news.

GREAT News.

Starbucks’ festive menu usually brings excitement for a couple of reasons: 1) that Christmas is coming and 2) the Starbucks festive menu is back for a limited period.

While we can’t help but get excited about the Toffee Nut Latte and friends, there’s no denying that the drinks are far from healthy.

HOWEVER, there’s a big change this year as Starbucks have announced that the amount of sugar in the festive-themed drinks has been reduced.

Spotted on Cosmopolitan, the coffee giant has announced plans to majorly cut the sugar, which is going to make us feel practically virtuous about indulging.

So this is the story: the Gingerbread Nut Latte is going to lose 4% sugar, the Toffee Nut Latte 6% and the Fudge Hot Chocolate a massive 22%.

Commenting on the decision to make a healthy change, Sara Bruce-Goodwin, Starbucks’ VP of Research and Development said:

“We are committed to finding ways to keep the same great festive flavours that we know our customers love, whilst reducing the added sugar content in some of our more indulgent drinks.”

While they might not be guilt-free treats, (okay okay, far from it),there’s a definite improvement this year and as they say, everything in moderation is graaaaaand.

Right? Right??!
