Hey guys, it’s nearly summer. Feels like it, right?
Yeah, no, it really doesn’t. If it was summer, we’d be on the beach, sitting in beer gardens, and hugging our friends in the sunshine.
Alas, we are not – but that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy a drink or two in the sun, all the while learning a bit about the specific drink in question.
In this case, the drink is cider, and there’s a very fun and very informative tasting happening this weekend over on Instagram Live, in case you’re stuck for something to do.
And let’s be honest, we all are at this rate.

This Saturday (May 2), UK ciderologist Gabe Cook will host the world’s biggest cider tasting live on his Instagram page, Ciderologist.
Featuring an array of tasty ciders from Ireland, the UK, and elsewhere, the event is a chance for viewers to get in the summer spirit, have a quiet drink or two, and learn a bit about the cider industry while they’re at it.

Daniel Emerson from Stonewell Cider in Cork will also take part in the tasting from Ireland, joining Gabe for part of the Instagram live on Saturday night.
He’ll be chatting all about Stonewell Cider Tawny, one of the ciders featuring in the tasting. So if you feel like going all out for this event, you know what to do.
Viewers are encouraged to bring a cider (or two) of their choice along to their sofas, kitchen tables, or indeed, their back gardens – whether permitting – and enjoy the fruity, tangy tastes of their beverages, all the while learning a bit about some popular ciders from around the world.
It’s just like being in a beer garden… right?
