The Westin launches a Christmas-themed afternoon tea and it sounds delicious

We love afternoon tea but Christmas afternoon tea is another level entirely.

Getting your girls together and indulging in some tasty treats is always a good idea and we’re already thinking that this is the perfect way to catch up ahead of the December rush.

The Westin, a five-star hotel located on Dublin’s Westmoreland Street has just launched its festive offering and we couldn’t be more excited.

At €45 per person, the Festive Afternoon Tea is the ideal treat after a busy day spent present shopping, when you’re in need of a little (or a lot of) sustenance.

With a five-storey glass ceiling and opulent decor, it’s the ideal spot to enjoy a little luxury after a day ticking off your Christmas list.

There are a number of savoury items on offer including roast crown of turkey with cranberry mayonnaise on wholegrain bread; smoked salmon with brown scone, caper and cream cheese, and a classic cucumber with natural yogurt on spinach bread sandwich.

Of course, we’re about all the sweet treats too, an essential part of afternoon tea with traditional mince pies; fruit scones, cranberry and orange madeira cake; Christmas pudding cheesecake, and Christmas elf meringue.

Christmas elf meringue, now you’re talking.

If a festive afternoon tea sounds like your thing, you can book by contacting The Westin Dublin by email at [email protected] or calling 01 645 1149.
