It is next to impossible to think of a dessert that hasn’t been given the Oreo treatment over the last few years.
From cookie dough to caramel apples; cinnamon buns to peppermint candies, it seemed like there was no shortage of flavoured filling for the iconic cookie.
At one point, there was even a pumpkin spice one, for those who just couldn’t get enough of the autumnal spices.
And while all the previous versions of the cookie sounded almost too good to eat, we’re not entirely convinced about their newest flavours.
Earlier this week, parent company Mondelez International announced two new fillings: Hot Chicken Wing Oreos and Wasabi Oreos.
No, we’re not kidding.

The controversial cookies are currently only available in China – and they look exactly like you would imagine they would.
The Hot Chicken Wing flavoured one is a bright orange, while the Wasabi one has a bright green filling.
They’re very eye-catching, anyways.
People were fairly divided over the two new flavours, with reactions on social media ranging from totally horrified to hoping snack on the cookies soon.

I would love to try them, especially the wasabi one. Please bring them to Canada!

Not going to lie. I’d try the wasabi cookies just cause I love spicy things.

The wasabi sounds interesting at least…
