There’s a toastie festival happening in Bray next month and we are SO there

Keeley Ryan

What’s not to love about a good toastie?

The snack, or occasionally whole meal, is one of our favourite kinds of comfort foods: easy to make and oh-so-delicious (provided it is done right, of course).

Which is why we were particularly excited to hear that The Harbour Bar Toastie Festival is returning to Bray – and very soon, too.

The festival will take place from Friday November 2 until Sunday November 4 and it basically sounds like a dream come true for toastie fans.

The organisers have promised that throughout the festival, there’s going to be the classic ham and cheese toastie – as well as some more unusual and “adventurous” fillings to try.

Plus, free tea top ups. What more could you want, really?

They continued:

“Visitors can snag a seat by one of the Harbour Bar’s roaring fires or cosy up out front for outside service with an Irish Coffee or Hot Mulled Gin.

“Let’s not forget, ‘The Golden Toaster’ is up for the taking as Bray businesses grill it out to be crowned ‘The Best Toastie In Bray’.

“All welcome, dogs too. Help us pay homage to the Toastie.”

We’ll see you there, so.
