There’s a gourmet vegan three course meal happening in Dublin soon

Divine, tbh.

From the man who brought us the beloved Chick*n Fillet Roll comes an exclusive one-off vegan event: a three course dining event in Glasnevin’s Honest2Goodness market.

Taking place in Dublin this summer, the meal will consist of a delicious array of classic Vegan Sandwich Co items, some new vegan offerings, and of course, a lot of vegan wine.

This is the first time that local food company Vegan Sandwich Co have hosted such an event, one that will only be accessible through supporting a new crowdfunding campaign.

Announced by chef Sam Pearson this morning, the campaign aims to raise €10,000 ahead of the launch of his new retail products: Bac*n, Chick*n Pieces and Cheeze.

“We have some really exciting rewards to offer anyone who invests through the crowdfunding campaign, including market stall giveaways, limited edition merchandise as well as invites to an exclusive dinner event in Honest2Goodness, where we transform our market menu into a full plantbased meal,” says Sam.

“There will be some familiar items on the menu but I will also be working with other vegan businesses to create an exciting and delicious evening for guests. Honest2Goodness Wines will also be on hand with a full plant-based wine menu available for guests.”

The new retail products are due to launch in Dublin stores this summer, with the rest of the country getting a taste of the plantbased goodness in 2021.

SuperValu have also committed to stocking the products on a trial basis in some of their stores as part of their Food Academy programme.

“It has been so exciting to see this business grow from what was an idea at the start of last year to what it is today,” says Sam.

“We are still small but have big ambitions and with a little help from the public, we will see our products in stores right across the country.”

The three course vegan meal will take place in Glasnevin’s Honest2Goodness market on June 9.
