Paul Moore

Try to remain calm.

Stuck for a dinner idea? Ham and cheese toastie. Peckish but unsure about what to eat? Ham and cheese toastie. Have a tendency to burn anything and everything that you try to cook? Ham and cheese toastie.

What do you want to eat right now? Ham and cheese toastie.

Simply put, it’s the ultimate comfort food and when combined with crisps and tea, it’s a food group in itself.

Well, if you’re a toastie aficionado, you’ll be delighted to know that The Harbour Bar in Bray, Wicklow will once again be hosting Toastie Festival 2019.

The event takes place from 1-3 November and it promises a weekend of ham and cheesy goodness.

The official event listing states that the event will be “a celebration of a Harbour Bar classic, our humble ham and cheese toastie, a firm favourite to go with that post Cliff Walk well-earned pint or perfect pot of tea.”

Full details can be found here and if your idea of a perfect festival doesn’t involve camping, rain, or muck, this could be right up your street.
