Trailer of Brussels sprouts overturns on Scottish road, ruins Christmas dinner

Jade Hayden

RIP.

What’s the best part about Christmas dinner?

The turkey? The stuffing? The array of mash?

Any and all of the above options are absolutely worth a shout – one thing that is not worth a shout, however, is the Brussel sprout.

It’s small, it’s green, it’s kind of got a weird taste.

Essentially, it’s fine if you’re into that sort of thing but it’s definitely not the highlight of any dinner and should never be presented as such.

Anyway, here’s a photo of probably millions of Brussels sprouts spilling onto a road in Scotland.

Iconic.

The sprouts in all their glory were shared by South West Fife Police, who urged the public to use other roads lest they be delayed by the sudden influx of greens.

They also made some jokes about Christmas dinner.

Because c’mon, they had to.

“There’s been a bit of a #BrusselSprouts accident at the roundabout at Admiralty Road, #Rosyth,” they said.

“Please avoid the area if possible. Traffic and #Christmas dinners may be affected. Apologies for any delays.”

Excellent scenes all round.
