YES! Low calorie ice cream, Halo Top, is releasing 3 delish new flavours

Olivia Hayes

Absolute yeeesss.

If you haven’t tried Halo Top, then where on God’s green earth have you been?

Having been created in the US, it made its way over to the UK and then finally launched in Ireland six months ago.

What makes it so brilliant is that it tastes absolutely glorious, yet it has a slash of the calories that regular tubs have.

And now, much to our delight, Halo Top is releasing three new flavours, and they sound absolutely delish.

According to The Grocer, the new flavours are Birthday Cake, Red Velvet and Oatmeal Cookie. Each only has 280 to 360 calories and cost €6.49 in Tesco. Scrumptious.

Now, we know what you’re thinking – what’s the catch? How can a tub of ice cream have so few calories?

Well we’ll tell you how.

Halo Top use a sugar substitute called Stevia. They also throw another thing in there called Erythritol – a natural sweetener that’s found in some fruits.

Their ice cream is low in fat, high in protein, and basically a healthier treat than your average run-of-the-mill ice cream.

Oh, and the tubs they sell are 473ml instead of your typical 500ml but sure look, that’s hardly a difference.

Keep an eye out in Tesco stores for the new flavours… we definitely will be.
