This guy thinks he’s found a foolproof way to find out if you’ve got the flu

Have you had the flu this year?

You probably have, everyone has.

It’s barely even February and already there’s been an onslaught of people taking days off work, spreading their diseases and essentially having an awful time.

It’s been grim but sure look, we get through it.

As it turns out though, we may not have even had the flu at all and there’s an easy way to find out.

This lad has come up with a foolproof (probably) way to discover whether you’ve got the flu or not.

He took to Twitter to share his theory.

See? Simple enough.

Essentially, if you feel like you’ve been run over by a train but haven’t actually been run over by a train, then you probably have the flu.

If not, then you’re just a bit unwell and need to suck it up basically.

In all seriousness though, the symptoms to look out for with the flu (apart from the whole feeling like you’ve been run over by a train thing), are as follows.

  • sudden fever (a temperature of 38°C/100.4°F or above)
  • dry, chesty cough
  • headache
  • tiredness
  • chills
  • aching muscles
  • limb or joint pain
  • diarrhoea or stomach upset
  • sore throat
  • runny or blocked nose
  • sneezing
  • loss of appetite
  • difficulty sleeping
