Roz Purcell has built an empire from eating healthy.

The woman behind Natural Born Feeder, now not only has a successful blog but two best-selling cookbooks under her belt and an audience of young women who look up to her for her authenticity and online “realness” which is often filtered away by many on Instagram.

The 28-year-old is inspiring others to change their lifestyle for the better. Between sharing easy healthy recipes to re-create on her blog and social media, Roz also runs the “Hike Life”, a gathering of those up for a group hike in various locations around Ireland every Sunday.

The hikes are free and open to everyone and their furry friends who are up for getting in some exercise in a social environment.

But as Roz is paving the way for a younger generation who look up to her for promoting a healthy lifestyle, she notes that her journey to where she is now wasn’t easy.

“I feel sad looking back, I wasted so many years putting myself down, missing opportunities and worst of all not being me around my friends and family,” Roz revealed online as she discussed her once unhealthy relationship with food that would lead her to binge and purge on repeat.

The entrepreneur went on to reveal that it has only been in the past two years that she feels confident about her body and the way she looks admitting that it has taken time to feel happy in her own skin.

“I can [now] confidently walk passed someone in a bikini or shorts and not cringe inside thinking that they’re probably looking at all my stretch marks and cellulite.”

The 28-year-old is praised for her unfiltered approach to social media.

And as she continues to share her journey with others, Roz also notes that you have to listen to your own body as different food plans work for different people.

At a lunch to launch the new Wellwoman Vegan supplement last week, Roz admitted that she used to try and follow the diets of various supermodels, thinking that if it worked for them, it’ll surely work for her, but quickly grew to realise that what might suit one person could be completely unsustainable for another.

The 28-year-old is now mainly vegan, opting for a vegan lifestyle Monday to Friday and notes that food prep is key for eating healthy and finds supplements helpful to fill in any nutritional gaps while on the go. She explained:

“For me, it’s really important to fuel my body to make sure it’s preforming at its best. That means a healthy diet, getting a good night’s sleep, making sure I’m drinking enough water and taking the right supplements that my body needs. I’ve been incorporating Vitabiotics Wellwoman Vegan supplement into my life for a while now to help make sure I’m getting all the necessary nutrients while following a vegetarian lifestyle!”

Roz helped to launch Wellwoman’s new supplement for women following a vegetarian or vegan diet who lead an active lifestyle. The supplement, with 24 nutrients, includes evening primrose and starflower oil as well as a vegan form of Vitamin D plus higher levels of iron and Vitamin B12 was especially made for vegetarian or vegan diets.
