Keeley Ryan

Kindles at the ready.

Summer is finally here.

And with the arrival of July comes plenty of page-turning reads that you won’t be able to put down.

Whether you’re looking for a novel you can dive into while sitting poolside or simply want a brilliant book to curl up with on the weekends, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered.

Here are six new books coming out this month that you’re definitely going to want to add to your must-read list.

My Friend Anna by Rachel DeLoache Williams

When is it out? July 23, 2019.

Hailed as Catch Me If You Can with Insta filters, this is the true story of Anna Delvey – the faux ‘Russian heiress’ whose dizzying deceit and elaborate con-artistry deceived the Soho hipster scene before her ruse was finally and dramatically exposed.

After meeting through mutual friends, the ‘Russian heiress’ Anna Delvey and Rachel DeLoache Williams soon became inseparable. Theirs was an intoxicating world of endless excess: high dining, personal trainer sessions, a luxury holiday … and Anna footed almost every bill.

But after Anna’s debit card was declined in a Moroccan medina whilst on holiday in a five-star luxury resort, Rachel began to suspect that her increasingly mysterious friend was not all she seemed.

This is the incredible story of how Anna Sorokin conned the high-rollers of the NYC social scene and convinced her close friend of an entirely concocted fantasy, the product of falsified bank documents, bad cheques and carefully edited online photos.

But the world has changed, and the women are watching this latest promotion for Ames differently. And this time, they’ve decided enough is enough.

Sloane and her colleagues’ decision to take a stand sets in motion something catastrophic and unstoppable: lies will be uncovered, secrets will be exposed and not everyone will survive. All their lives – as women, colleagues, mothers, adversaries – will be changed for ever.

The Chain by Adrian McKinty

When is it out? July 9, 2019.

Rachel Klein’s day starts like any other: she drops her daughter, Kylie, at the bus stop and heads off to start her day. But then she gets a phone call that changes her entire world.

A woman has Kylie bound and gagged in her back seat, and the only way Rachel will ever see her again is if she pays a ransom – and kidnaps another child.

The caller is a mother herself, whose son has also been abducted, and if Rachel doesn’t do exactly as she’s told, both children will die. Rachel is now part of a terrifying scheme – The Chain.

The rules are simple: find the money, find your victim, and then commit a horrible act you’d have thought yourself incapable of just 24 hours ago.
