Which one are you looking forward to?

We’re just a few months into 2018, and there’s already been plenty of page-to-screen adaptations hitting cinemas.

And the rest of the year looks to be no exception.

Here are six amazing books that are about to get the movie treatment in 2018.

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

What’s it about? 

Called Love, Simon in cinemas, the book follows 16-year-old Simon Spier, who hasn’t told his family or friends that he’s gay.

But when his emails to the mysterious and distracting Blue fall into the wrong hands, Simon is forced to take a big step out of his comfort zone – before the gets pushed.

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

When’s it out in Ireland? Sometime in 2018.

What’s it about?

In a dystopian future where books are made illegal and firemen actually burn them to restrict their knowledge, Guy Montag – a young fireman – begins to question things.

And after a chance encounter changes things for him, his doubts about their mission leads him to direct conflict with his captain.

Every Day by David Levithan

What’s it about?

A is a traveling spirit who wakes up in a different body every day; set to lead a different life.

But that all changes when A wakes up in Justin’s body one day – and meets his girlfriend, Rhiannon, with the pair soon falling head over heels for each other.

The Girl In The Spider’s Web by David Lagercrantz

When’s it out in Ireland? November 23.

What’s it about?

In the first book after Lagercrantz took over the Millennium series from Stig Larsson, Lisbeth Salander is back in action.

This time around, she finds herself the target of ruthless ‘cyber gangsters’ called the Spider Society after she tries to hack into the American National Security Agency.
