Royal fever may have peaked in 2018 but it looks like the British royal family’s influence will continue well into the next year.

Following the royal wedding in May, royal-inspired baby names are predicted to be big in 2019, according to naming website BabyCentre.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are expecting their own little bundle in the spring, are set to be a serious source of inspiration to other new mums and dads after their big day was the most-talked about event of the year.

‘Meghan’ has seen an increase of 49 per cent this year in searches this year and is only set to get more popular, the BabyCentre experts reckon.

Little Prince Louis is also making his mark – the popularity of searches of his name has risen by 17 per cent since he was born.

‘Eugenie’ is also expected to be a popular pick for parents in 2019.
