In a world of magic, no food would stick to your frying pan… and no, not just because you use a non-stick pan.
With even the best of intentions, or a drop of oil, cooking on the hob can leave half the ingredients welded to the bottom of the pan.
So if you don’t have a clean non-stick pan to hand, here’s the top tip for making sure your food won’t stick – making sure your pan hits a temperature of 160C.
So how can you check to see the pan is the right temperature?
Take a bit of water and drop it into the pan. If the water has no reaction, the pan is too cold.
If the water bubbles and steams, it’s too cold. If the water bubbles, and glides along the pan, the temperature is just right.
