“Hello. Can I Please Have The Number For God?” Directory Enquiries Sure Get Some Strange Requests

This was among four other classics...

Sue Murphy

Let’s be fair, we’ve all reached that point on a night out when we decide the best idea we have had for the entire evening has been to give the poor old guys in Directory Enquiries a call. Well, 11850 have let us in on some of the stranger requests that have been made for a phone number.

In honour of the strange requests Beyoncé has made while on tour, the company thought it would be a great idea to make a list of the weird and wonderful phone calls.

The strangest on the list was a request for a number for the Easter Bunny. We can only imagine this was a child who was left unsupervised for twenty seconds and decided to investigate the myths.

Then there is our personal favourite, someone called looking for a number for someone who breeds unicorns. They must have been really distraught with the posters of those missing unicorns.

Requests for a number for a God came in just behind asking to be connected to a taxidermy for a beloved pet who died.

And the final brilliant demand was for a number for a locksmith for someone who got locked, wait for it, into their car. Not out of their car, into their car.

Well played, Ireland, well played.
