Hold The Phone! This Might Be The Best News We’ve Heard All Week

Chargers might soon be a thing of the past.

If we had a penny for every time we gave out about low phone batteries, let’s just say we would be very rich indeed.

A solution to the problem would be much appreciated and the clever people at Nikona Labs appear to be on to something.

They have created a rather special phone case that can harvest electricity from the air.

We’re aware that this sounds like a little bizarre but if it works, we’re more than okay with the concept. In fact, we feel very similar to the man in the below GIF.

The company say they can convert 90% of the energy used by phones when connecting to Wifi signals and switching on Bluetooth.

A description on their website reads: “Nikola Technology efficiently converts RF signals like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE into DC power using its proprietary energy harvesting circuit.

‘The result is usable energy that can provide power to mobile devices wirelessly”.

The new device will be available on Kickstarter later this month, priced at $99.
