“They just kind of made up a bunch of stuff that I found really hurtful."

Mark Zuckerberg has admitted that the 2010 movie The Social Network left him feeling hurt as a lot of elements of the movie were inaccurate.

The founder of hit social media site Facebook added that the makers of the movie – which won three Oscars – had “made up” things up.

“I kinda blocked that one out,” he said during the public question and answer session. “It was a very interesting experience to watch a movie that was supposedly about my life. The reality is that writing code and building a product is not a glamourous enough think to make a move about. A lot of the stuff they probably had to embellish and make up.

“They just kind of made up a bunch of stuff that I found really hurtful,” he continued. “They made up this whole plot line about how I somehow decided to create Facebook to attract girls.

“The real story is a lot of hard work. If they were really making a movie (about how Facebook started) it would be of me sitting there coding for two hours straight.”
