We can’t imagine the experience of coming out to your parents. The courage and strength to be honest and open with your family is nothing short of amazing.
So we were shocked to see this viral video of a horrific reaction one young man experienced when he came out to his parents.
The young man, who keeps his face off-camera, rationally explains to his mother the consequences of her rejection and actions, but unfortunately it falls on deaf ears.
Her reaction is quite offensive and while we would hope that society has moved on from this narrow minded reaction, we also hope that this young man has the support from friends he deserves.
