While we all might be guilty of taking the odd selfie, what behaviours actually make you vain? A new study has found that there are a lot of things that one might do which people think are vain... and it also turns out that men rate higher on the vain scale than women, too.
The study, carried out by Univia, interviewed more than 1,000 men and women to find what the line is between self-confidence and arrogance.
According to the survey, 31 percent of men ranked as highly vain compared to only 21 percent of women.
As for what behaviours are seen as vain, 73 percent said sharing too many selfies is an attribute, while 78 percent think that refusing to be seen with certain people can also contribute to being vain.
The study said: "Overall, male respondents were judged most harshly when they exhibited behaviours that were more characteristic of women, and vice versa.
"For example, men were more likely to be called vain for spending too long on their hair or checking themselves out in a mirror, whereas women were more frequently judged for flaunting their wealth or referring to themselves as hardworking."
