Moving stuff…
Last month Cadbury confirmed that the beloved Crème Egg is no longer made with Dairy Milk chocolate and we’ve been coming to terms with the reality of the situation since.
“It’s similar, but not exactly Dairy Milk”, a spokesperson said. Well that NOT goo enough, Cadbury. (See what we did there?! Too easy).
To say people were outraged is an understatement, with many Crème Egg lovers taking to their social media accounts to express their outrage.
Up until today we thought we’d witnessed the height of the outrage at this stage – thought being the operative word in that sentence.
Pouring a chocolate-coloured salt into a very open wound, Cadbury’s also announced that Crème Egg multipacks would be sold with five eggs in the pack instead of six.
However, when Liam Mulligan purchased a multipack from Lidl in Ranelagh he was outraged to find only four eggs… How dare they.
Suitably outraged, Liam penned this passionate (and hilarious) letter to Cadbury to complain about the worst day of his life.
American Crème Egg-lover Boo Detch also decided to put her hurt into words and penned a song about the controversial move.
