Showcasing Ireland’s Hidden Gems – Cromane Peninsula, Co. Kerry

Stunning views.

Cathy Donohue

Now that we’re halfway through spring, people are beginning to plan summer holidays and while far flung destinations are always appealing, there’s a lot to be said for the humble staycation too.

Previously we have featured Kinnagoe Bay in Co. Donegal and the Glen of Aherlow and this week we’re focusing on the Cromane Peninsula in Co. Kerry.

An idyllic location, Cromane is situated between Dingle Pensinsula to the North and the Iveragh Peninsula towards the West.

From Cromane, the stunning scenery includes Brandon Mountain Range, Sliabh Mish Mountains and the McGillycuddy Reeks and all of these can be viewed at the same time.

If you happen to take in Cromane Peninsula, which is located 8km west of Killorglin, make sure to pay a visit to Inch Beach and Rossbeigh, only a short distance away.

Time your visit so that you catch a sunset view here anf make sure you have your phone or camera to hand in order to capture some stunning images.
