Sexologist Megan Stubbs acknowledges that this isn't always easy and it can be difficult to put this into practice if you're used to having the lights off.

"For some, this idea is terrifying, but when you share that vulnerable space with your partner, you are helping to deepen your bond".If you think about it, when the lights are on you actually look at your partner and eye contact during sex is one way to amp things up instantly.
