Stage Five Clinger – This Tinder Conversation Has To Be Seen To Be Believed

This one isn't giving in without a fight...

Rebecca McKnight

We’ve all heard the maxim “honesty is the best policy”, but when it comes to telling someone your date was an Epic Fail, it seems fair enough to let him/her down gently.

Poor old Louise Carey learned the hard way that “softly does it” doesn’t always work though.

Her.ie reader Louise headed out on a date with a man we’ll call Mark, (not his real name), earlier this week. The date was less than stellar, so Louise tells us she mailed him on Tuesday to say: “I had a really nice time last night Mark*, but I just didn’t feel that spark, I’m sorry.”

Mark* was less than impressed and the litany of messages he sent back would set off alarm bells for even the most devoted Tinder fan.

Luckily, Louise sees the funny side, saying “I hope this gives you as much of a laugh as it gave me!”

At this point, Louise gave up. But she’ll always have the memories! If you want to share any dating horror stories, you can contact us on [email protected].
