We were really surprised by this.
The best burger that the world has to offer has been announced – and it has no meat in it.
New York’s famous Superiority Burger, which is completely vegan, has been awarded the title by GQ Magazine.
People have been drooling over the $6 burger because of its taste and nutty texture.
But here’s the catch – no one knows exactly what’s in it.
According to The Metro, the vegan patty comes with iceberg lettuce, tomatos, dill pickle and sauce.
The owner of the East Village Superiority Burger Joint, Brooks Headley, is understandably keeping the ingredients of the coveted burger close to his chest.
He did admit to the Wall Street Journal: “The act of eating a burger is so iconic and so American, and it’s not just about the patty.
“It’s the squish of the bun, the crunch of the lettuce and the tang of the ketchup – there’s something primally satisfying in all that.”
He’s not wrong.
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I loved this little veggie burger so much that I ate 2 #superiorityburger #veggieburger #burger #eastvillage #nyc A photo posted by DR (@david_reyer) on
