The research, which was published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, shows that women are pickier when it comes to choosing a life partner due to the fact that we take into consideration whether or not they’ll be a good mate to help raise children.
Despite that though, the biggest deal breaker for both sexes was someone who was “disheveled or unclean” followed closely by laziness and neediness.
Other major turn-offs for women included bad at sex and no sense of humour while for men, turn-offs included a low sex drive and someone who talks too much.
Other (unsurprising) deal breakers listed were: discriminating against others, dating multiple people at the same time and anger problems.
