There’s a new iPhone hack going around but there’s a simple way to avoid it

This doesn’t sound too good.

There’s a new iPhone hack doing the rounds with people tapping into your phone via Siri.

As iPhone users will know, you can access Siri via the home button and according to Cosmopolitan UK, this is how people are messing about with smartphones.

So, think about it, if you give someone your phone to use, they can use Siri and have a laugh as per usual but just be aware Siri can also be used in a number of different ways.

From the Home Screen, people can make calls to any contact saved in your phone, send messages to any contact and the worse one of all is that your Facebook can be accessed.

Nightmare scenario: you hand over your phone to your friend, thinking they’re just making an innocent phone call and the next thing you know your FB status has been updated to read something very embarrassing.

Anyway, there’s an easy way around it and all you have to do is turn off a function on your iPhone.

  • Go to Settings.
  • Choose Siri
  • Turn off the option that says Access on Lock Screen

If you’re a big fan of Siri and use it to dictate messages/make calls, this may prove annoying but to be honest, we figure it will be worth it in the long run.
