There’s An App For That: SkinneePix Thinks You Need A Little Help With Your “Fat” Selfies

Put this on the list titled "things no one needs"

Alanna Alexander

Don’t you just hate it when you’re trying to take a selfie but then your face is so fat that your arms can’t possibly be long enough to fit it all in the frame?

Yeah, that hasn’t happened to anyone and that’s why we’re really confused about why anyone needs the new app SkinneePix that promises to make your face skinny. YOUR FACE.

The app can trim from five to 15 pounds of virtual fat “for a slimmer selfie look” so that people think you’re more attractive… virtually.

“Cameras add additional weight to photos and when you’re taking a selfie you’re also dealing with bad lighting, angles, close-ups and a lot of other factors that make people complain that the photo isn’t an accurate representation of themselves,” said Susan Green, co-founder of the Phoenix-based company Pretty Smart Women that created the app.

Other apps can also add or remove weight, including one called FatBooth.

While these apps might do us all a favour and put an end to all the women who won’t stop sucking in their cheeks and pouting in pictures. Still even the demise of the infamous duck face can’t get us on board with this whole idea.
