Think you’re a genius? Here’s your chance to prove it and win €1000

If Mum said it, it must be true.

We’ve always fancied ourselves Einstein-esque geniuses. A slight exaggeration, you say? Perhaps. But now we have the chance to test it out.

gradireland has set up a test – the National Student Challenge – to find the smartest student in Ireland. This isn’t just book smarts or professional smarts they’re looking at, this is all-round intelligence. Think you’ve got social smarts? Give it a go. Could you get a scholarship in street smarts? Prove it.

This test will let you see how you compare to other students all over Ireland in a variety of different areas, not just academics.

If it turns out you are a right smarty pants and rank within the top 60 students in Ireland, you will be invited to take part in the National Student Challenge Final. There, all 60 finalists will take part in six challenges chosen by gradireland’s employee partners including headline partner Lidl plus EY, Glanbia, Johnson & Johnson, PwC, and abbvie.

Each contestant will meet with these top graduate employees, but only one person will come away with the grand prize of €1000 and the title of brightest student in Ireland (bragging rights forever – plus it’ll go pretty nicely on your CV).

If you think you’ve got the brain crafted by the gods themselves (or if you just like the idea of winning €1000), try your hand at the challenge. It’s completely free to enter and you can do it all online.

The challenge takes 40 minutes, so make sure you set aside some time because once you start, you can’t stop, and you only get one chance to take the test – no do-overs.

Once you complete the test, you’ll get a performance feedback report. The feedback lets you know your strengths and weaknesses and tells you how you might further improve your skills. So pretty handy, even if you don’t end up in the final 60.

So, give your brain a little warm up, grab a cup of tea for stamina, and get answering. Find the challenge here. You can do it. We believe in you, smarties!
