Apps tend to be useful things that help you with your daily life – like catching up with friends, ordering food and getting information about the world.
But this latest one, aptly named DiedInHouse, is probably the most morbid one ever created.
That’s because it tells users if any deaths – natural or otherwise – have occurred in their home.
It can also reveal other information about the property including dodgy characters, criminal activities or strange happenings.

The details of course are limited to those on official and public records and, at the moment, the app is only available in the US.
While some might want to know such information, it kind of gives us the creeps and we’re also happy being able to sleep at night.
As they say, ignorance is bliss.
Some apps that we would actually like to see created instead of this one include…
- one that tells you what to wear (we hate making those decisions)
- one that tells you if a guy you meet in a bar has hooked up with any of your friends
- one that tells you when you’ve gone one step too far in terms of your makeup
- one that creates recipes out of the crap you have in your fridge
- one that rates what you’re wearing when you’re shopping alone
