Twitter Just Made a Big Change... And No One is Happy About It
Twitter users are noticing that their profiles look a little different this morning, and no one is very happy about it.
The micro-blogging site has removed custom backgrounds for users, replacing all of the carefully selected personal snaps or designs with a universal pale grey backdrop.
Many are tipping the move as the latest in a series of strategies to make the social networking site more like its long-time rival Facebook, but users have not been shy about expressing their unhappiness.
God sake @twitter why are you doing this again

Web @Twitter is even uglier now that they've removed background images. Keep on keeping on with that erosion of the user experience!

I'm not into shades of grey, not even when only talking of my profile background, so give me my background pattern back, @twitter, please!
