There was good news for Adele fans today, amid speculation that the singer is about to announce a tour.

The Someone Like You singer has kept a low profile since the birth of first son Angelo and record label XL Recordings confirmed this week that they would not be releasing new material from the singer this year.

However, it has now been claimed that Adele is planning to leave XL and is in talks with Sony over a £100m deal that would see her release the follow up to the hugely-successful 21 on their label.

As part of negotiations, Sony are understood to have offered Adele her own record label and if the deal goes through, the singer is expected to begin her first world tour.

“Sony want Adele and they will stop at nothing to get her. The money is absolutely huge but they hope she will sign for her own label. It means she’ll keep a higher percentage of profits from record sales and the proposed tour.

“She has never been on the road before so it will be a huge money-spinner and likely to sell out within hours. All of the signs are there that Adele will go to Sony and it would be a massive coup.”

Adele is already signed to Sony for her US releases.
