Bulmers Forbidden Fruit is coming next week!

The countdown is ON to the 7th year of the city centre multi-stage music and arts festival, taking place in the stunning Irish Museum of Modern Art at Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

We got really excited about the line-up for the music and now it’s the time for the comedy tent line-up. a staple of every good music festival nowadays.

The tent will be MC’d by the human dynamo, Andrew Stanley, a man known for taking on and destroying the most committed of hecklers..(you have been warned!)

Joe Rooney is probably best known as gurrier priest Fr Damo from Father Ted but it is as a stand-up comic that this high energy comedy star truly shines. Jarlath Regan (pic below), the man behind the hugely successful ‘Irishman Abroad ‘ podcast, jets in for his only Irish show this year.

Our own Ballymun motormouth and Fair City bad-boy Eric Lalor (pic below) is one of the most in demand comics on the circuit.

Just back from a sell-out tour of Australia, Galway-based Steve Bennett was recently crowned ‘Irish Comedian Of The Year’ – come and check him out to find out why. Danny O’Brien is one of the fastest rising stars both here and in the UK, where he now spends most of his time.

We can’t WAIT to check out festival favourites, the sometimes-silly-but-always-hilarious musical double act, Totally Wired.

Co-creator of The Savage Eye  John Colleary’s razor-sharp one-liners and acute observations are sure to be a highlight. The Comedy Tent will also play host to the hottest, most exciting emerging talent too.

Over the weekend you will get a chance to see some great new acts, including  Martin Angolo, Bernard Casey, Emma Doran, Dimitri Bankov, Brian McCormack, Ryan Cullen, Emman Idama, Davey Riley, Laura Byrne and we’ll be introducing the winner of the Bulmers Forbidden Fruit Comedy Talent Search.

The Comedy Tent will run from 4pm -8pm on both Saturday 3 June and Sunday 4 June.
