Music fans of Ireland, we have yet another addition to your already jam-packed summer gig schedule.
CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers will be rocking the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin on Thursday July 9th and Live At The Marquee Cork on Friday July 10th.
Grammy-winning composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist Nile Rodgers is widely credited with making CHIC the “most sampled band in history”, as well as earning CHIC an incredible nine Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominations.
Standout hit “Le Freak,” was inducted into the 2015 Grammy Hall of Fame, but Rodgers is also the production genius behind other artists’ biggest hits – including David Bowie (Let’s Dance), Madonna (Like A Virgin), Diana Ross (diana), and Sister Sledge (We Are Family).
He will release It’s About Time in June 2015 — the first new CHIC album in nearly 25 years — and take CHIC on the road following the March 20 release of the album’s first single “I’ll Be There.”
