Sure we’ve imagined what it would be like in our own heads but now it seems Coppers: The Musical is an actual thing.
According to Ken Sweeney, showbiz editor of The Irish Sun who was speaking to Newstalk, the story will be along the same lines as West Side Story.
Based in one of the country’s most famous nightclubs, it will be set on the eve of an All-Ireland final and will focus on the rivalry between the “Culchies and the “Dubs.”
Rumour has it Darren Smith, the man behind Anglo: The Musical, and Paul Howard, of Ross O’Caroll-Kelly fame, will be involved in the production.
