Not one to stay silent especially when it comes to injustices, Demi Lovato has released a new song about Trump’s time as president and how he handled the pandemic and other serious issues while he’s been in power.

Most celebrities in America at the moment are using their platform to encourage people to vote in the upcoming election stateside and the majority have been encouraging their fans to vote against Trump. Whether it’s through TikTok or Instagram they are definitely getting the word out there to go and vote and to vote for change.

Well, Demi Lovato has gone that extra mile and released a song to encourage her followers to join her in voting for this year’s election.

The singer teamed up with Billie Eilish’s brother and singer Julia Michaels to write the ballad called Commander In Chief. Demi announced the news on her Instagram with the caption: “Won’t give up, stand our ground… We’ll be in the streets while you’re #CommanderInChief. Video dropping tomorrow. ”

Of course the song never mentions Trump’s name or anything like that but the song clearly takes aim at the President’s handling of the pandemic and his response to social justice protests. Some of the lyrics include: “If I do the things you do I couldn’t sleep, seriously, do you even know the truth?” She also goes on to sing: “We’ll be in the streets while you’re bunkering down.”

Her Instagram post encourages people to get out and vote in the election which takes place on November 3rd.

Lovato has also promised to perform her new song at the Billboard Music Awards which take place on Thursday night in LA.
