Two songwriters are suing Ed Sheeran over one of his songs.

Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard claim that his song Photograph bears similarities to one of their songs, Amazing.

They want to prove that the two songs have the same musical composition.

According to The BBC, they are claiming that Photograph and Amazing share 39 identical notes. In court documents submitted by the pair, they have taken the chord breakdown of the two songs to show the similarities.

Photograph was released in 2015 and Amazing was written in 2009 but was covered by Matt Cardle in 2010 following his X Factor win.

They are being represented by the same lawyers who won a case against Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams for copyright infringement over their single Blurred Lines. For that case, they won $7.4m, while they are seeking a settlement of $20m from Ed.
