It’s been some year for Andrew Hozier-Byrne and the Wicklow man had more good news for fans this evening, confirming that he will be announcing new Irish tour dates soon.
The Take Me To Church singer’s debut album Hozier has been met with rave reviews since it was released last Friday and in a post to his Facebook page, the 24-year-old revealed that it has gone platinum in its first week of sales.
Following performances on Later… With Jools Holland and at the iTunes Festival in recent weeks, the album hit number one in the Irish charts today and become the fastest-selling album of the year. A further ten singles are currently in the Irish Top 100 and Hozier thanked fans for the amazing response.
