Singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson has announced a headline date at Whelan’s, Dublin this October.

An “overnight success” after 15 years of hard work, Lawson hit the music jackpot when his track Wasn’t Expecting That connected with YouTube users to the extent that it attracted over 800,000 views and sparked a number one single.

In the last couple of years Jamie has shared billing with artists including Damien Rice, The Frames, Ben Howard, Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran, James Morrison, Newton Faulkner, Gemma Hayes and Van Morrison.

Ed Sheeran is such a fan that he signed Jamie as the first artist to his new label Gingerbread.

Tickets for the gig, which takes place on October 30th, are priced €16.50 and go on sale this Friday, June 12th.
