Lady Gaga Lends More Words Of Support To Kesha – ‘I Feel Like She’s Being Publicly Shamed’-

Ellen Tannam

Lady Gaga’s support of Kesha has been remarkable, and she’s continued to champion the singer in media interviews, applauding her courage.

She recently did a radio interview on  AMP 97.1 with Carson Daly where they discussed her recent performance of ballad Til It Happens To You which brought the house down at last month’s Oscars.

Kesha was then brought up, and Gaga had plenty to say on the subject.:

“I think that people should just know that there’s so much more than what meets the eye in a case like that.”

“I feel like she’s being very publicly shamed for something that happens in the music industry all the time, to women and men.”

She spoke of her empathy towards the Timber singer: “I just want to stand by her side because I can’t watch another woman that went through what I’ve been through suffer.”

Gaga also revealed she and Kesha are close friends that speak every day. She confessed watching her deal with this situation has been ‘devastating’.

“Somebody that has such a beautiful light within them, so much talent to give — just to see that light burn out because they feel that no one’s listening to them, I feel that it’s my responsibility to stand up for her when there’s a lot of people that are not listening to her plea for love, for people to have compassion and empathy.”
