Finally, the wait is over, Ed Sheeran’s brand new single ‘Sing’ is here.
The Suffolk native got Lucky and teamed up with Pharrell Williams after bumping into the music producer at the Granny’s and swapping details.
“Pharrell really pushes you and wants you to do the best thing possible,” the singer said.
“So you don’t go for the first thing he plays… Pharrell must have been on about his 17th idea when he played me this beat. I don’t really get jazz chords and this felt like one of them. Instinctively, I dismissed it, but I had a guitar in my hand and started playing that riff absent-mindedly. From that moment, I was playing that song and… we just pieced it all together.”
Prior to the premiere of the video Ed teased fans with snippets of the new single and posted this impressive artwork to Instagram.
The 23-year-old’s eagerly anticipated second album, X, is due out on Friday June 20th and the record is available to pre-order on iTunes now.
