Looks Like It’s Not Just A ‘Hiatus’ For The One Direction Boys

They might really be going their separate ways...

It’s been a few months since boyband One Direction announced they would be going on an extended hiatus following five years together and the departure of Zayn Malik back in March 2015.

When you think ‘hiatus’, you do generally think ‘maybe a reunion in a year or so.’, but it looks like bad news for those fans who were living in hope (aka me).

Reports coming from USWeekly now indicate that the hiatus is indeed now a permanent break.

“The foursome decided “not to renew their recording contract” after wrapping their tour in October, says the close source. “The 1D thing just ran its course. They’ll remain friends, but they are exhausted and want solo careers.”

According to UsWeekly’s sources, the boys feel like there’s no more that can be done with the band and would prefer to pursue solo interests, with Liam having voiced interest in producing and songwriting, Louis expecting a baby and Harry wanting to try out acting.

Stay strong everyone.
